Aintree Plastics’ Storage Transformation

Premier Storage & Office Solutions was contacted by long-standing partner Hessle Fork Trucks to deliver a bespoke Dexion P90 pallet racking solution for Aintree Plastics. As a result of this collaboration, we were able to quickly understand Aintree Plastics’ requirements. The goal was to move products from the production area into a newly allocated storage area. Consequently, this created space for additional machinery and improved overall warehouse efficiency.

Design Work:

Multiple design iterations were carried out to maximise pallet spaces within the available warehouse footprint. As a result, the final plan achieved maximum capacity.

Aintree Plastics received detailed drawings to review and approve at every stage. In addition, this ensured the client was confident in the final system before installation began.

Installation Process:

The installation was completed in a temporary warehouse with a pitched roof ranging from 6.1m to 9m. Despite this, the team adapted the design to fit perfectly.

Despite a sloping floor with a rough finish, our team carried out full concrete load checks for point loads. Therefore, the installation could proceed safely

A minor challenge with shims was quickly resolved with extra supplies. Meanwhile, the team worked efficiently to keep the project on schedule.

Collaboration between our installation team and the client ensured a smooth and timely completion. In conclusion, the installation phase was both efficient and effective.

Premier Storage installed a durable APR Dexion P90 pallet racking system to house Aintree Plastics’ finished goods. In addition, it was designed to meet strict load capacity requirements. This provided 307 pallet spaces, each measuring 1000 x 1400 x 1950H with a 1500kg load capacity, supported by timber decking for added strength. As a result, the finished goods area became more efficient and secure.

The galvanised Dexion P90 pallet racking system delivered long-term reliability. Additionally, it improved accessibility and organisation across the facility.

APR Pallet Racking for Finished Goods:

To complement the finished goods area, a second APR system was added for raw materials. This created 178 pallet spaces, each measuring 1000 x 1200 x 1500H with a 1500kg load capacity.

Once again, the use of Dexion P90 pallet racking ensured a strong and reliable solution. Moreover, it was fully capable of handling the heavy demands of raw material storage.
