593 Bay APR Warehouse Racking Installation for J.L. Priestley & Co Ltd
Maximising Warehouse Capacity with 593 Bays of APR Pallet Racking
Project Brief: 593 Bay APR Warehouse Racking Installation
Client: J.L. Priestley & Co Ltd
Industry: Food Industry
Location: Sleaford, UK
Project Duration:6 Weeks
J.L. Priestley & Co Ltd required a warehouse racking installation at their Sleaford facility after their existing storage system was no longer fit for purpose. Premier Storage was appointed to replace the ageing racking and maximise the available warehouse storage space.
Premier Storage was appointed to deliver a new pallet racking installation that would maximise storage capacity, create a uniform warehouse racking system and provide a safer, more organised working environment. The project involved the installation of 593 bays of APR pallet racking throughout the facility, transforming the warehouse into a modern and efficient storage solution.
The project presented several key requirements
- Existing pallet racking was no longer fit for purpose and required replacement.
- Available warehouse storage space was not being fully utilised.
- The client wanted a consistent and uniform warehouse racking system.
- Storage capacity needed to be maximised within the existing building footprint.
- A safer and more efficient warehouse storage solution was required.
Planning the Installation
Before work began on site, detailed racking layouts were produced to ensure the available warehouse space was utilised as effectively as possible. The drawings allowed the client to visualise the proposed warehouse racking installation and provided a clear plan for the placement of all 593 bays of APR pallet racking.
By carefully planning the layout in advance, Premier Storage was able to maximise storage capacity, create a consistent racking configuration throughout the warehouse, and ensure the finished installation met the client’s operational requirements.
Premier Storage’s Solution
Working closely with the client, Premier Storage designed and delivered a large-scale pallet racking installation comprising 593 bays of APR pallet racking.
The project was led by Rich Wakeley, who worked closely with J.L. Priestley & Co Ltd throughout the installation. Regular site visits, progress checks and clear communication ensured the project remained on schedule and aligned with the client’s requirements from start to finish.
The new warehouse racking system was designed to maximise storage capacity whilst creating a consistent and organised layout throughout the facility. To further enhance protection and improve visibility, Rack Armour upright protection was installed in safety yellow across the completed installation.
The result is a modern warehouse storage solution that makes far better use of the available space and provides a reliable long-term storage system.
The Outcome & Client Feedback
The completed pallet racking installation successfully delivered the client’s objectives of increasing storage capacity and creating a uniform warehouse environment.
By replacing the outdated racking with a modern APR pallet racking system, J.L. Priestley & Co Ltd can now make better use of their warehouse space whilst benefiting from a safer and more organised storage solution.
The project demonstrates how a carefully planned warehouse racking installation can transform an existing facility without the need for additional building space.
