Design and Installation Process

Cantilever Racking System Design Work

Our design team created detailed CAD drawings. These visualised the optimal layout and configuration of the cantilever racking system. Therefore, the design met all of SCA Timber Ltd’s requirements for timber racking. It also allowed for future scalability, which ensures long-term flexibility. In fact, this preparation reduced delays and improved accuracy during installation.

Cantilever Racking Hull – Installation Process

A dedicated team of eight professionals carried out the installation of the cantilever pallet racking system. The work was completed safely and efficiently within the six-week timeframe. In addition, our expertise in installing heavy duty cantilever racks meant we could manage the project smoothly. Consequently, the team worked effectively even with onsite Covid-19 restrictions in place. Meanwhile, site safety remained a top priority throughout the project.

Heavy Duty Cantilever Racks for Timber Storage

The installation included several key features:

  • Durability: The heavy duty cantilever racks are built to withstand large timber loads and frequent use. This provides long-term reliability. Moreover, this durability reduces the need for future replacements.
  • Flexibility: Adjustable arms and configurations allow for the storage of different product sizes and weights. Moreover, the design adapts to changing stock demands. Similarly, it can be reconfigured quickly to suit seasonal requirements.
  • Safety: Safety features such as end stops protect both inventory and warehouse personnel. Additionally, staff training ensured the system could be used with confidence.

This solution highlights why cantilever racking in Yorkshire is the preferred choice for timber merchants. It offers adaptable and reliable storage that supports business growth. Overall, it delivers lasting value for expanding operations.

What Our Client Says?

Jan Gritter of SCA Timber Ltd:

“We have been working on our new distribution model. It replicates our product range in our Welshpool and Cumbernauld merchant operations. The remodelling required us to invest in the site so we could deliver direct to the customer, rather than in bulk. This required the installation of racking systems. In addition, we upgraded lighting and wi-fi for warehouse management technology. For example, the improved connectivity now supports faster picking and stock control.”

John Griffiths, Managing Director for SCA Timber Ltd:

“I am pleased we were able to remodel Melton to satisfy the future strategy of our business. As a result, we doubled the capacity to supply the merchant market. We are excited by this change. It will further support our customers’ needs and allow us to deliver our long-term business plan. Finally, I am confident this investment secures a stronger future for our company.”
