Do I need any previous training to complete a course?
There are no racking safety training prerequisites for completing either course. You do not need any previous training to attend the PRRS or Racking Maintenance courses, as both are designed for individuals at all experience levels.

Racking safety training prerequisites explained

PRRS training entry requirements
The PRRS course does not require previous inspection or safety training. Instead, it teaches participants how to identify racking damage, carry out in-house inspections, and understand their legal responsibilities under HSE guidance. This makes the course suitable for warehouse managers, supervisors, and MHE operatives taking on racking safety responsibilities for the first time.
Racking maintenance training entry requirements
The Racking Maintenance course also has no prior training requirements. It introduces core maintenance principles first and then progresses to safe repair methods and practical techniques. As a result, participants can develop competence step by step, even without previous maintenance training.
