Racking safety training online – is it available?

At present, racking safety training online is not available. Instead, we deliver our racking safety and maintenance courses in person, as this approach provides the practical, hands-on instruction required for safe and compliant racking management.

Unlike online racking safety training, face-to-face delivery allows delegates to build real-world skills under expert supervision. As a result, attendees gain a clearer understanding of how racking systems perform in live warehouse environments, including how damage develops, how to assess its severity, and when action is required to reduce risk.

Why we don’t offer racking training online

Although racking safety courses online can support theory-based learning, they cannot replicate the practical elements essential for managing warehouse racking safely. For this reason, our in-person courses focus on applied learning and real-site awareness.

Through practical training, attendees can:

  • Gain hands-on experience inspecting live racking systems
  • Identify damage severity and apply risk classification correctly
  • Learn safe, approved repair and maintenance techniques
  • Ask questions and receive immediate, expert feedback

Consequently, this approach offers far greater value than PRRS training online alternatives or racking maintenance training online, where practical competence is critical for both safety and legal compliance.

In-person training for safer warehouses

Our warehouse racking training is delivered on site, allowing teams to learn within their own working environment. This not only makes the training more relevant, but also ensures learning can be applied immediately to day-to-day operations.

We currently offer:

  • Rack Safety Awareness Training (PRRS Course) for individuals responsible for racking safety
  • Racking Maintenance Training for personnel carrying out in-house racking repairs

Both courses align with guidance from the Health and Safety Executive and follow SEMA best practice. Therefore, businesses can reduce risk, improve compliance, and maintain safer warehouse environments between formal inspections.
